Installing LanSchool Student on Android

Installing LanSchool Student on Android

LanSchool Student 9.1 supports Android 8 or greater and requires the LanSchool Connection Service (LCS) for communication.

Installing the LanSchool Student app for Android

The following instructions will assist you with manually installing LanSchool Student on an Android device.
  1. From within the Android device, login to the Google Play Store.

  2. Search LanSchool Student. Click Install.

  3. Once installed, open the LanSchool Student application.

  4. A page will display stating that the "Student will start capturing everything that's displayed on your screen". Select Start Now.

  5. In the LanSchool Student app, navigate to Class Settings and enter the channel number (1 to 16,000) that this device will reside on. In static classroom, this channel should match the channel of the teacher's LanSchool Console. In 1:1 environments, enter a default home channel for the student device. The teacher can then create a class list to pull in this student by name.

  6. Select Settings.

  7. Select Connection Server.

  8. Input the static IP address of your LanSchool Connection Server (LCS).

  9. The device should now be connected to the LCS and ready to be managed by a LanSchool Teacher
