Screen Overlay
After the app is installed and configured, there is a small LanSchool Student icon that is always on the screen. This icon is necessary to enable the Student to show windows or messages even when the Student isn’t the foreground application. The window appears as a small LanSchool icon that is semi transparent. It can be repositioned anywhere on the screen by pressing and dragging it. It will remember where it’s placed and remain there even if the device is rebooted. Tapping on the icon will open (bring to the front) the Student application. The window will also show a small “indicator” dot in the bottom right corner if there are any unread Chats or Messages from the Teacher.
Note: The screen overlay feature is only available on devices running Android 9.x and newer.
