Muting Student Audio

Overview

Mute student devices on your channel to disable the speaker(s) on each device. This feature is useful when you want to lecture without the distraction of students playing music or audio (such as a video) on their devices.



Muting student devices
  1. Select one or more student thumbnails. If none are selected, all devices will be muted.
  2. Select the Mute button in the toolbar.
The student devices speakers will turn off. This will also turn off audio if they have headphones plugged in.

To stop muting the devices, select the Mute button again to toggle this feature off.
