Using Enable Channel Select Utility
Overview
LanSchool Classic comes packaged with utilities that can help administrators with making changes to already installed clients.
The Enable Channel Select utility allows teachers to be able to change their teacher channel, view multiple channels or change the student channel on their LanSchool Teacher Console.

Admin rights are required to run the utility on both Windows and macOS devices.
The Enable Channel Select utility is located in the downloaded LanSchool Classic zip folder.

If you do not have access to the LanSchool download folder, please contact your IT Support.
Running Enable Channel Select on Windows Teacher Console
On the teacher device, open the downloaded LanSchool Classic zip folder and go to Windows>>Utilities.
- Double-click on EnableChannelSelect.exe to run it. It will quickly flash on the screen.
- Open the Teacher Console and go to Administer>>Preferences>>Network Tab.
- The teacher can now change their channel, choose multiple channels or change the student channel from Administer>>Change Student Channel...
Running EnableChannelSelect on Mac Teacher Console
- On the teacher device, open the downloaded LanSchool Classic zip folder and go to the Mac folder.
- Double-click on lanschool_teacher.dmg.
- In the LanSchool Teacher window click on the Utilites folder.
- Double-click on Enable Channel Select.
- It may prompt a security warning. Click Open.
- Check the Allow the Teacher on this computer to change the LanSchool channel box.
- Enter your admin password. Click OK.
- On the Success window, click Close.
- Open the Teacher Console and go to Administer>>Preferences>>Network Tab.
- The teacher can now change their channel, choose multiple channels or change the student channel from Administer>>Change Student Channel...
