Using Screen Snapshot

Using Screen Snapshot

Overview

Save a snapshot of a single student's entire screen as a standard image file. The date, time and student login name are included as part of the image's filename. This is a great way to save an example of student work or get a record of inappropriate behavior such as cyber bullying.

Here is a quick video demonstrating how to use the snapshot feature:

Saving a Snapshot

  1. Select a student computer from the LanSchool Teacher Console.
  2. Click the Snapshot button from the toolbar.
  3. Choose a location on your computer to save the image file.
The file name will be formatted as [Login Name] ( [Machine Name] ) ( [Date] _ [Time] ).jpg

Keystroke Alerts Snapshot

To configure Keystroke Alerts, select the Administer >> Preferences. Then select the Keystroke Alerts tab.

By default, when a student types one of the Banned Words a Snapshot of the student's screen will automatically be saved.
